My heart aches for your home country. Not because of what the Russian government is doing, but because this will cast a cloud of shame over Russia for at least a generation. The Germans bore a similar generational shame.
There are so many wonderful things that Russia has to offer the world and it is a shame that the contributions to humanity are blocked off by the 18th Century despot who rules it with an iron fist.
